On the Farm/Mobile/Internet Yarn Shop

Skein Train's home base is in the Four Corners area of New Mexico.  We have an "on the farm" shop, a trailer which we take to small towns that do not have a yarn shop and our internet catalog.  We also attend many of the fiber arts festivals, wool festivals and arts and craft shows within a reasonable driving distance of La Plata, New Mexico.  Please stop by and see us at these festivals, there is nothing that compares to actually getting to touch the fibers you are thinking of purchasing.  Our online store is open 24/7 for your shopping pleasure. 

We have ready-to-spin fibers, yarns and finished products.  Knitting and crochet accessories and patterns.  We are still in the process of building our inventory, so if there is something you are looking for and you don't see it, please email us and we will try to locate and add it to our inventory.  Email Skein Train. 

We are very proud to be carrying Fiesta Yarns, hand-dyed here in New Mexico, and Ironstone Yarns, commercially dyed yarns, also from New Mexico. 

We also very pleased to be carrying Brown Sheep Company yarns.  These incredible USA yarns are beautiful, economical and great for weaving, knitting, crochet and needle arts.  Be sure to check out their great handpainted sock yarns

Our current spinning fibers are from our own ranches and we will soon be adding others.  Current fibers include California Red Sheep rovings, CVM Rovings and CVM/Rambouillet Rovings.  Please visit us often as we will be adding new products frequently.
